On June 13, the Chinese Ambassador to Croatia Qi Qianjin attended the book promotion conference "Croatia-China: A Friendship Worthy of Respect" (Volume 2) organized by the Croatia-China Friendship Association. Former Croatian President Stjepan Mesić, former Croatian President Ivo Josipović, former Croatian Parliament Deputy Speaker, and current Constitutional Court Judge Mato Arlovic, former Croatian Ambassador to China Ante Simonić, and nearly 100 Croatian people from all walks of life attended the event.
Ambassador Qi congratulated on the successful publication of "Croatia-China: A Friendship Worthy of Respect" (Volume 2) and said that the book shows the process of strengthening friendly exchanges between the people of China and Croatia, and reflects the efforts of the Croatia-China Friendship Association to promote the two peoples' heart-to-heart connection and to achieve the fruitful results in the integration of public opinion. Ambassador Qi expressed his belief that the publication of this book would enhance the Croatian people's understanding of China and the Communist Party of China, attract more people, especially young friends, to join the cause of China-Croatia friendship, and pass on the concept of friendship between the two countries from generation to generation.
Ambassador Qi emphasized that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Croatia. Not long ago, the leaders of the two countries exchanged congratulatory messages and agreed to take this as an opportunity to deepen political mutual trust, expand practical cooperation, and lead China-Croatia relations to achieve greater development. The friendship between the two countries lies in the friendship between the people. Ambassador Qi conveyed his hope that the Croatia-China Friendship Association and all friends who are committed to the cause of China-Croatia friendship would continue to work hard to enhance the understanding, trust, and friendship between the two peoples. The Chinese Embassy in Croatia would fully support the exchanges and cooperation between the non-governmental organizations of the two countries so that the "diamond-like" friendship between China and Croatia would become even more radiant.
The Croatian guests who participated in the promotion meeting delivered warm and friendly speeches one after another. They said that the publication of "Croatia-China: A Friendship Worthy of Respect" (Volume 2) would allow the Croatian people to better understand and comprehend China, and would play an important role in consolidating and deepening the friendship between the two peoples. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Croatia and China 30 years ago, the relations between the two countries have achieved substantial development, bringing tangible benefits to the Croatian people. It is expected that the two countries will take the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations as an opportunity to further deepen pragmatic cooperation and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, believing firmly that the future of Croatia-China relations would be even brighter. President of the Croatia-China Friendship Association Andrija Karafilipović especially thanked the Chinese Embassy in Croatia for its strong support for book publishing and the Friendship Association's activities. He expressed that the Croatia-China Friendship Association and he would, as always, actively carry out non-governmental exchanges and make greater contributions to the development of bilateral relations.

"Croatia-China: A Friendship Worthy of Respect" (Volume 2) was compiled and published by the Croatia-China Friendship Association. It includes important speeches from 2011 to 2021 by Chinese and Croatian leaders and ambassadors, relevant manuscripts written by Croatian experts and scholars, as well as 139 articles about the Croatia-China Friendship Association's friendly activities with China, together with nearly 500 precious photos of related activities, which vividly reproduced unforgettable moments of the two peoples' heart-to-heart connection and mutual affinity in the development of China-Croatia relations.
