On July 10th, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Croatia H.E. Mr. Hu Zhaoming held a press-conference on which the relevant information about the Meeting of Heads of Government of China and Central and European Countries (abbreviation ‟16+1" Summit) in Sofia and the next one that would be hosted in Croatia were introduced. Croatian television, NOVA TV, Morning Post, Evening Post and other mainstream media and all big internet platforms, as well as Xinhua news agency in Croatia, in total more than 10 journalists, attended the conference.

Ambassador Hu Zhaoming introduced the important outcomes of the ‟16+1" Summit in Sofia, emphasized that Croatian attitude towards ''16+1'' Summit was positive from the beginning, which are the reasons that the next would come to Croatia, together with the positive developmental trend that had emerged in China-Croatia relations and the solid people's support as well. Hosting the ‟16+1" Summit would increase Croatia's regional and international influence, further stimulate the development of China-Croatia bilateral relations, as well as strongly drive development of Croatian local economy. Ambassador Hu Zhaoming encouraged Croatia to promptly start preparations for the next ‟16+1" Summit, to create a good political climate for the success of the Summit, to prepare the agenda and project desired results, at the same time using this opportunity as a host of the Meeting to fully show Croatian advantages in geography, nature, culture, sports and other aspects.

Ambassador Hu Zhaoming also answered journalists' questions about the development of Peljesac bridge and other big cooperation projects between two countries.
