On July 19th, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Croatia H.E. Mr. Hu Zhaoming on invitation attended the joint meeting with the Assistant Ministers of Croatian Ministry of Foreign and EU Affairs Mr. Vice Skračić, Assistant Minister of Ministry of Culture Ms. Iva Hraste Sočo and Assistant Minister of Ministry of Tourism Ms. Olivera Shejbal. Two sides exchanged their opinions about preparatory works for the next Meeting of Leaders of China and Central and Eastern European Countries (16+1 summit).
Croatian side again congratulated China on successful Meeting of Leaders 16+1 in Sofia, stated that Premier Mr. Andrej Plenković was very happy to have fruitful bilateral meeting with Chinese Premier Mr. Li Keqiang, emphasizing that Croatia was very honored to host Meeting of Leaders 16+1 in 2019, expressing their hope to promptly start preparatory works together with Chinese side, to ensure complete success of the next year's meeting and visit of Chinese leader to Croatia.
Ambassador Hu Zhaoming expressed his appreciation for active participation of Croatian government in ‟16+1 cooperation" and placing high importance on the preparatory work for the next 16+1 leaders' meeting, stated that Chinese side is willing to do a good job together with Croatian side, and take this as an opportunity to give impetus to China-Croatia relations and cooperation in every field to achieve new progress.
