On August 24th, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Croatia Mr. Hu Zhaoming met with the Deputy Head of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong S.A.R. Mr. Yang Jian and his delegation, who were visiting Croatia.
Ambassador Hu Zhaoming welcomed Deputy Head Mr. Yang Jian and his delegation to Croatia, stated that currently China-Croatia relations were in one of the best periods in history; cooperation in trade, tourism, culture and education, as well as other fields were vigorously flourishing and continuously achieving new breakthroughs. Not long time ago, on the 7th Meeting of China-Central Eastern Europe Leaders in Bulgaria, every side that participated in the meeting agreed that Croatia hosts the next meeting of leaders, which would also inject a new vitality into the China-Croatia relations.
Ambassador Hu Zhaoming stated that Hong Kong was world's famous financial, trade and cultural centre, as well as one of the important sources of tourists to Croatia. Ambassador Hu Zhaoming expressed his hope that China Liaison Office in Hong Kong would actively promote comprehensive cooperation between Hong Kong and Croatia in trade, culture, tourism and other aspects, and contribute even more to the development of China-Croatia relations.
Deputy Head Mr. Yang Jian agreed with Ambassador Hu Zhaoming, stated that during his visit to Croatia his experienced in person China-Croatia friendship and powerful trend of development of bilateral cooperation. Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong was willing to make full use of media exchange and cooperation platform, tell the Chinese story to Croatia and enhance the mutual understanding of the people of two countries, at the same time pushing Hong Kong to make a good use of its advantages and strengthen contacts and cooperation with Croatia in every field.
