On October 14, 2014, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and President Xi Jinping met at the Great Hall of the People with Chairman of the New Frontier Party Kim Moo-sung of the Republic of Korea (ROK), who was in China for attending the first meeting of policy dialogue between the Chinese and ROK political parties.
Xi Jinping stressed that during my state visit to the ROK this July, I reached a series of important consensuses with President Park Geun-hye on enriching and deepening China-ROK strategic cooperative partnership. China stands ready to share development opportunities with the ROK, work with the ROK side to address challenges, boost cooperation in an all-around manner, and make unremitting efforts to achieve prosperity for the two countries as well as promote peace and stability in the region. He asked Kim Moo-sung to convey his kind greetings and best wishes to Park Geun-hye and is looking forward to meeting with her during the forthcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Informal Leadership Meeting.
Xi Jinping pointed out that the exchanges and cooperation between the CPC and the New Frontier Party of the ROK play an important role in promoting the bilateral relations. Both sides should further intensify high-level exchanges, deepen exchanges of experience on governance and administration of state affairs and promote the friendly exchanges of young statesmen, so as to make positive contributions to building a more mature China-ROK strategic cooperative partnership with a higher level.
Kim Moo-sung conveyed the greetings from President Park Geun-hye to General Secretary Xi Jinping. He said that the ROK-China relations have scored remarkable development since the establishment of the bilateral diplomatic relationship, especially under the personal guidance and promotion of the two heads of state. The New Frontier Party of the ROK is willing to intensify communication and share the experience with China through party dialogue, with a view to constantly deepening the bilateral relationship. He also wished China achieve the great Chinese Dream at an early date.
Wang Jiarui, Vice-Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee was present at the meeting.
