On October 9, Chinese Ambassador to Croatia Qi Qianjin met with Professor Jurica Pavičić, Vice-Rector of the University of Zagreb, at the Chinese Embassy.

Ambassador Qi spoke highly of the achievements in China-Croatia cooperation and thanked the University of Zagreb for its support for bilateral educational cooperation. He commended the university’s Confucius Institute for its positive role in promoting Chinese language learning, introducing Chinese culture and fostering mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries. He expressed hope that the university would further deepen exchanges and cooperation with Chinese universities in education, scientific research and cultural and people-to-people exchanges, contributing to further progress in China-Croatia relations.

Pavičić expressed his appreciation for Ambassador Qi’s contributions to establishing and developing partnerships between the University of Zagreb and Chinese universities and to deepening academic exchanges between China and Croatia. On behalf of the university, he presented Ambassador Qi with a certificate of appreciation in recognition of his efforts.
