On February 26, 2026, Ambassador Qi Qianjin to Croatia met with Professor Boršić, Director of the Institute of Philosophy of Croatia.

Ambassador Qi stated that, in today’s complex and turbulent world, solutions to global challenges can often be sought through philosophical reflection. He emphasized that Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era represents the latest achievement in adapting Marxism to the Chinese context. He added that it serves as the ideological banner of the Communist Party of China in the new era. He expressed China’s willingness to strengthen exchanges among Chinese, Croatian, and European civilizations and to contribute jointly to solutions promoting global peace, stability, and development.

Professor Boršić remarked that China’s remarkable achievements in economic and social development are widely recognized, and that the ideas and philosophies underlying these achievements merit in-depth study. He also expressed his hope to strengthen academic exchanges with Chinese institutions.
