On July 13, a ceremony was held to celebrate the breakthrough of the Vučevica Tunnel project in Croatia, constructed by China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC). Ambassador Qi Qianjin, Croatian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure Oleg Butković, and Prefect of Split-Dalmatia County Blaženko Boban, among others, attended the event.

Ambassador Qi Qianjin stated that the breakthrough of the Vučevica Tunnel represents another landmark achievement in China-Croatia infrastructure cooperation, following the Pelješac Bridge. He expressed hope that CRBC would maintain its spirit of overcoming difficulties and working diligently to make even greater contributions to the Croatian market.

Butković remarked that the tunnel's breakthrough is a historic moment, marking the successful completion of the most challenging phase of the new entrance project to Split, and expressed high praise for the Chinese enterprise.

The Vučevica Tunnel and its connecting road project is a key transport infrastructure development in Split, Croatia. The tunnel spans 2,525 meters. Constructed by CRBC, the project commenced in September 2024.
