On August 26, Ambassador Qi Qianjin met with State Secretary Mihohtić of Croatia’s Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure.

Ambassador Qi stated that the direct flight between Beijing and Zagreb is set to launch, marking another milestone in bilateral relations following the Peljesac Bridge. It will give a strong impetus to practical cooperation between China and Croatia in tourism, aviation and other sectors. He hoped that Croatia would provide more equitable opportunities for Chinese enterprises to operate and invest in the country. China and Croatia should work together to advance bilateral relations and enhance friendship between the two peoples.

State Secretary Mihohtić said that Croatia attaches great importance to developing relations with China and stands ready to further deepen cooperation between the two sides in civil aviation, investment, infrastructure and other fields. He expressed his wish to visit China again on Air China’s direct flight.
