On September 4, Chinese Ambassador to Croatia Qi Qianjin attended the launch ceremony of the direct flight operated by Air China from Beijing via Bucharest to Zagreb, held at Zagreb Airport. State Secretary of Croatia’s Ministry of Tourism and Sports Udovičić, State Secretary of Croatia’s Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure Mihotić, Director of the Croatian National Tourist Board Staničić, Chief Operating Officer of Zagreb Airport Duthilleul, as well as journalists from China and Croatia, attended the ceremony.

In his remarks, Ambassador Qi said that this is the first direct flight in the history of China-Croatia relations, opening a new chapter in the comprehensive cooperative partnership between the two countries. The direct flight is not merely an air route, but also a bridge of friendship connecting the hearts of the two peoples. It will further unleash the potential for bilateral cooperation and strongly promote exchanges and cooperation in various fields, including trade, tourism, culture, sports, education, etc.

State Secretary of Croatia’s Ministry of Tourism and Sports Udovičić said that today is a day of great significance for Croatia. The launch of the direct flight will further promote cooperation between the two countries in economic, trade, people-to-people and cultural fields, and consolidate bilateral relations.
