On January 23, 2017, Foreign Minister Wang Yi sent a message of condolences to Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto of Hungary over the serious traffic accident of a Hungarian coach in Italy, which caused mass casualties of Hungarian personnel. He extended the deepest condolences to the victims and sincere sympathies to the bereaved families.
